The City of Toronto is hosting a Public Open House on Thursday, April 30, 2026, as part of Phase 3 of the Growing Marlee-Glencairn Study. An emerging plan been developed for the Marlee‑Glencairn study area. The plan is a long term vision for accommodating growth in the Marlee‑Glencairn area identifying the potential improvements to amenities, public spaces, services, and local infrastructure needed to support a connected and complete community, shaped by community feedback and informed by best practices in neighbourhood design.
At the Open House on April 30, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about:
- The emerging plan, including recommendations for land use, built form approaches, and policy directions.
- Proposed improvements to parks, community amenities, streets and mobility networks, including the Beltline Gap Connections.
- Draft delineations for the Glencairn Protected Major Transit Station Area.
- Potential Major Street designation of Glencairn Avenue, from Bathurst Street to Dufferin Street, in the City of Toronto Official Plan, to enable missing middle housing and neighbourhood retail permissions.
- Speak with City staff and the study team to ask questions and provide your feedback on the emerging plan and policy direction.
Format: Join us for a drop-in open house anytime between 4 - 8:30 p.m. Learn more about the emerging plan through on-site display panels and speak directly with City staff available to ask questions and share feedback. Registration is encouraged but not required.
